Letters to the Editor
Chris,
You can pull our Ad for the used Omega enlargers. I have packed and
shipped them everywhere. We did come up with one neat idea along the way: rather than
write detailed "how to reassemble" notes; we photographed the disassembly. The
last thing in the box was the roll of film. If they wanted to know how to put it together
they could process the film.

Hi there,
I was thinking about your site's comment for the new Yashica APS camera: "Kudos for
independent thinking to Yashica, whose Profile 4-1 zoom model features an entirely
different look and feel - much like the Samurai of years past." When I visited the
London Camera Exchanges website: http://www.lcegroup.co.uk/
where they mention in their new products list that Yashica's new APS zoom camera is to be
called the Samurai!!! The more things change, the more they remain the same, eh????
Best wishes
Martin Clinton
Martin - wouldn't it be great if Yashica would actually get around to shipping the
Profile? I've been itching to run a roll thru one ever since seeing them at PMA, and here
it is the end of May and no cameras on the shelf yet
Chris
Dear Chris,
I've always wanted a short yet understandable explanation of instant films
because the numbering system has always confused me (compared to roll film described as
"35mm 100 ISO 24 exposure" which is understandable).
Your "Films for Instant (Polaroid) Cameras"
went right to the heart of the issue. Thank you for putting them all in perspective.
:) Gary Grinnaker
Thanks, Gary. I built the info on that page because I had a tough time remembering,
myself. Feel free to print it out and use it for training staff members.
Hi there,
I've been enjoying your web page recently, and saw in your PMA roundup that Kodak are
bringing out a black & white C-41 type APS film. I'd like to know if this is already
available in the States, as I will be travelling there for my holiday this summer. Photo
shops here in Norway look at me with blank stares when I mention this product to them.
Many Thanks
Martin Clinton
Martin - Kodak has begun shipments of the black and white (chromogenic) APS
film and the film is available in a few shops. You may want to call around when you get
here - not every outlet has chosen to stock the product yet.
Hi, Chris --
Thought I'd drop you a line to let you know how much I like your site. Very good
information for the trade.
Thanks for including Photo Marketing among the industry publications. You can now
include the URL: www.photomarketing.com.
Also, are you aware of our new digital magazine, DigitalImager. The URL for it is www.digitalimager.com.
For both publications, you can use PMA_Publications@pmai.org
for the e-mail.
Best regards,

I liked this film very much and I am looking for some technical information (even the
times of process C-22) and an image of the box of C135. Thank you.
Jorge Pedreira, jpedreira@movi.com.ar
Jorge - I'll try to find this info for you. In the US, the last roll of Kodacolor-X
went out of date more than 20 years ago. I firmly believe today's C-41 process films are
better in every way.
Hello,
just had a look at your web site, very interesting and a great idea. Are you part of PMA??

Mike - In the sense that I'm a long-time Member of the Photo Marketing Association,
and a Certified Photo Consultant - yes, I'm a part of PMA. But the Photo/Image News
Network is not a function or affiliate of PMA.

To whom it may concern,
How often do update your web page? Your web page looks like a great source for camera
news.
Sincerely,
Mike Reed, Reed's Camera
Mike - Usually there are updates every day - although they might just be a few
classified ads. Between Christmas and the PMA Convention February 12th, most manufacturers
don't make many new product announcements.
Chris
Good day Chris,
I would like to thank you for the chance to win the cd. (Creighton won an Adobe Photo
Deluxe CD in our first contest.
Ed.) I like what you are doing with your site.
Please keep me informed of any new changes and I will keep you bookmarked.
Thank you again,

How did you come up with this site??? It is great!!! This is the most intelligently
designed place I have found for photo. I don't have a lot of time to mess around with
other web sites, but I'll visit this place regularly. Chris, I know you have the best
store in NJ, but I have the best store in Iowa
- uh, where's that? Go to Chicago and keep heading west. I can't remember if I signed up
for your program on Saturday at PMA, but I will check my schedule, and see if I can
switch. I am introducing on Thursday first thing at 7AM, so after that I can relax. Roger

Thanks, Roger. I couldn't have hired a PR firm to write anything nicer. Chris

Thanks, Ron. At this point no registration is necessary.
