Idea #1 – Digital Dollars Pay Dividends

Denny Prichard – Evergreen Film Service – Eugene, OR – www.evergreenfilm.com

When Christmas was coming and lots of our customers were getting Digital Cameras, we wanted these folks coming to Evergreen for their Digital Prints. With that in mind we created a Digital Dollar to hand out with our work. Each Digital Dollar is good for One Dollar off any Prints from Digital Files or any Film to Digital Scanning. By limiting them to one per order we can give them out freely.

Thanks for all the good ideas,

Idea #2 – Tim Ulmer, Ulmer Photo, Stockton, CA – ulmerphoto@aol.com

Get Marketing Help From Your Paper Vendor, and Feed The Hungry

I will share a more detailed package on the bill stuffing and it doesn't look amateur in its presentation. Note: best tool to use is Agfa Promo CD (FREE) with small alterations and print the stuffers on spoiled lab papers or <wink> papers Agfa credits. On occasion you can get from your salesman samples or bad stock. In other words, ask for a complimentary roll to help promote using your program. Think about it, if you increase your finishing sales your paper supplier will benefit also.

I probably didn't mention the Free Photo CD at time of processing we give when you bring 3 cans of food for the local food bank. So far we have given 700 lbs of food that’s approx $600 in CD's. Yes its tax deductible!!! Even the mayor mentioned it in a mini business meeting I heard just today. Now that makes me smile...

Idea #3 – Frank Tona, Crown Camera, Redding, CA - www.crowncamera.com - ftona@shasta.com

Identify The Producers On Your Sales Team

Joel from Reed's Camera (Walnut Creek, CA) offered a wonderful suggestion to isolate sales winners and losers! We at Crown Camera use the Computyme POS system which allows custom reports, with a simple access sentence.

I would be glad to share with other Computyme users some of these custom reports to find the winners and losers in your stores. These are simple sentences that I can e-mail to other Computyme users with similar reports as Joel is using on their system!

Idea #4 – Ann Markley, Ann Chase Photography, Woodinville, WA -

Enthusiasm About Your Business And Community Drives Revenue Growth

I love my key chains... (Ed Note: Ann has key chains that hold wallet size photos with her name engraved on the back.) We give them out with every Santa photo & with every Christmas card set... and like I say to my staff "you know when they look at THEIR FAVORITE PICTURE in the key chain they always say... 'Those people at Ann Chase are SOoooo nice'... and of course they must say it at least twice a day when they lock their car or go into their homes... what a great thing huh?

I had the "special kids’ night" like Elmhurst Camera does... (Ed Note: See Elmhurst Camera’s picture and write up in Digital Guerrilla Marketing)... oh my goodness... what a wonderful thing to do ... It was so special... It was very low key -I worked through the special needs network... no ads....I got 40 families as customers for life - & some of the best moments to cherish at Christmas - which is what you need - since you work so many dang hours at Christmas....As you know..

So next week..... I am getting awarded the "spirit of Woodinville award" by the city council because of the event..... AND I was asked to teach the summer camp photography program for the city....for teens this summer... PLUS I get paid to have the camp. (2 hours a day for one week... Hello - what a deal...)

This and I have only been in business a year... (I bought a bankrupt photo business in May)
