Moving the store - part 2

The new Chris' Camera Center & 1-Hour Photo location will be to the left of Tidwell Jewelers, where the awning now says "Clothing Gallery." These two store modules are probably the most secure buildings in the central business district - except for the banks, of course!

Pat's Clothing Gallery was scheduled to be out of the new location by about March 18th. We were able to get in soon after that and started laying out the new store.

With the former tenant moved out, we use black paper to try placing showcases in the available space

There's a long wall along the left as you enter the store. Here's an early rendering that shows how we'll combine slatwall panels with upright columns.

Jacob and Ryan start the installation of furring strips that will support the slatwall. The uprights will form triangular columns to add architectural interest and to divide merchandise segments.

Aiken is at its busiest in the spring and the fall. With company coming for the Triple Crown and Easter, we didn't dare plan to move any sooner than April 15th. Even that was cutting it close…
