Getting Rid of Red Eyes in Adobe Photoshop

If you're using Photoshop to retouch photos, you may be envious of those who use less expensive image editing packages. PhotoDeluxe and Easy Photo, for example, have a specific tool to eliminate red eyes in photographs.  Here's how to make it almost as easy in your premium-priced application.

Select the area of the first eye using the elliptical marquee. Press the shift button while selecting the second eye. (You don't need to be exact.)

Go to the color adjustment menu (control-U or command-U)

Choose the slider bar for red and bring the saturation down pretty close to zero. Now the eyes are dark instead of red, and they look much more natural.
